I don't normally worry much about the idle pressure numbers - but 5 is even low for me. More common to see 15-25 on a standard volume pump - or even a HV pumped aluminum motor when fully warmed.
You can look at the beaaring clearances - but if they are dial bore guage measured at .0025-.0030 they are not at all bad and won't change it a bunch. The side clearance is always larger than the rod bearing clearance and should not impact pressure much if any at all.
I'd want to be sure you did not scrape any cam bearings on the way in, that the rockers are fairly snug on their shafts, and that the lifters are not rattling loose in their bores - spec is .0015-.0020. You might want to double check the oil pump - some of them can be poorly machined - cover to rotor should be no more than a couple thou - less is better until they touch...I've seen some that were way off. Do not detail the edges of the pump rotors or the parting line chamfer areas on bearings - those are supposed to be one step away from sharp corners - only an edge break is desired.
