Response to Since Pressure Plate Bolts are taking (I presume) side shear/impact

Standard pressure plate bolts are different. They have an extended portion of the bolt under the head not threaded. This is a precise diameter acting both as a pilot, accurately locating the clutch for balance, and as a dowel pin acting in shear. The Flywheel has precision counter-bored holes to accept these fasteners.
It is risky to use anything other than these bolts, they are considered a “part” and are not an off the shelf bolt.
