Response to Barry R I failed at mind-reading can you refresh me

The Fel-Pro race gasket was designed many years ago for just that - racing. It is intended to be easy to trim for modified ports and thus has no structure inside - no steel honeycomb like their normal passenger car gaskets. They never envisioned the gasket becoming the standard for performance street use. When I wrote the current Fel-Pro catalog - yes I am the guy who wrote it - I added several performance street style gaskets to the line that were made from a stronger composite board that would not wick or deform. These gaskets have an "S" after the normal Fel-Pro part number. The FE did not make the first list - trust me I tried - but it is curently in the system with an expected release very soon. Could have already happened - my last conversation with the Fel-Pro engineering guys was before Engine Masters.

An example of the series...for the 460
