I bought the C Code about 2 years ago, I will use it to rebody the P-Code. The body on dads P-code was destroyed with rust. There were huge holes in the roof at both front pillars and totally rusted thru at the base of the roof in the rear and the rear glass. The only portion of the body that was not totally rotted was the cowl, the floor pans and the front fenders. I figure it could easly reach $10K to restore the P-Code body alone.
The C-Code is a two owner and was bult in Los Angles spending it's entire life in the desert southwest. It has 68K origional miles, the body is perfect & strait. It has full tinted glass in great shape, the interior and exterior trim is damn near perfect, its got rare options like the drivers side remote control mirror and companion passenger side mirror, the passenger bucket has the pop-up head rest and reclines. It even has the AM/FM Radio. The frame looks like new. It was listed on ebay twice in early 06 and only reached $2,800 (the seller wanted $4,500). I contacted him and got it for $4K and since he had reciently moved to Nashville I didn't have to go far to get it.
If the car was a big block it would have brought allot more but noboday wants small block Galaxies. I'm going to use the body & glass, inner fenders and hood as well as all of the bracketry and hinges. I have all the exterior and most of the interior XL Trim in NOS to use on the P-Code. The leftover parts and assemblies of the C-Code I don't use should bring a good price. I hope to recoup allot of the $4K I paid for it. Plus save me around $10K for the total restoration.
I'm not going to hide the fact it was rebodied but it will still have it's P-Code identifications. ww
