Hi Ken

June 28 2006, 5:15 PM

The 32 Commander (or 315 as it may be known) is not a known boat to me. It's not listed in the older model lineup, but I'm sure it's a good boat. It looks similar to the 31 Commander Sport Express.

In any case, I (also) suggest you go to boats.com and go to their used boat section, type in "Chris Craft" in the lengths you're interested in and I think you will be amazed at how many choices you will find there.

If you have any questions about the Commander line, find one you are interested in, etc., please post away and I'm sure someone out there will know something about the boat.

Ernie, good find, but you got your wires crossed on the price

February 11 2008, 6:20 AM

I don't see any $49,000 price tag anywhere on the auction. Starting bid is less than a buck, lol.

Nice boat, by the way.

Boat moving

June 28 2006, 11:52 PM

You asked about boat moving. Somewhere recently I found a boat mover's web site, and I was quite impressed with what I read there about their methods, and their recommendations. I don't remember the name of the company, but if you do a google on "boat movers" you will find many. Here is one (no specific recommendation -- just one that I found via google that looks OK from their site info): http://www.boathaul.com/

If the boat you are considering has a flybridge, the top of the flybridge may have to be removed for shipping. The boat hauler should be able to arrange for that removal, and reinstallation at your destination. They would probably just take off what they need to in order to get the height of the boat on the trailer down to 14' or less (or there-abouts). For rough figuring, you are probably looking at $5,000 to $10,000 for a coast to coast haul, depending on permits needed, work they need to do to the boat at both ends, etc. Your best bet is to get on the phone with some haulers and talk to them.

Good luck, and keep us posted on what you decide on.
