CHRIS CRAFT COMMANDER FORUM ® .......A photo-intensive technical reference file and ongoing newsletter regarding the original fiberglass Chris Craft Commander. Our mission at this not-for-profit non-commercial web site is to "have fun and share information" for your individual personal use. Our main reference feature is the ever expanding MASTER INDEX Files which contain exhaustive photo and technical information on the Chris Craft Commander line (like these 38' Commander brochure scans) , (an awesome collection of Chris Craft 427 tuning and specification information), and a few words about how to use the information in the forum, etc. Be sure to look at the information about the 2009 Chris Craft Commander Rendezvous, second year in a row on Lake Erie!! If you're a Commander fan, this will be an event you won't want to miss.

We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !"

Trusted Commander Parts Suppliers !!!!!!!!!!!

This is just a note to let everyone know I'm going to be updating the MASTER INDEX in the not-too-distant future due to the sheer magnitude of archive worthy postings, and I'm going to add a "TRUSTED COMMANDER PARTS SUPPLIER" category.

We already have some pretty well known suppliers and parts reference sources from all sorts of companies and suppliers, who provide necessary services for our hobby (with reliability and a fair price).

I may rank them with ****, ***, **, or * depending upon personal experience, if they support The Forum with tech assistance, etc. If you have a reference, please post it here, and I'll add it to the list. Eventually I'll probably deactivate this notice when I do the MASTER LIST update.

Right now on the list, a few names that immediately come to mind:

Dan Cook @ Chris Craft Classic Parts
Robert Henkel @ Chris Craft Parts dot com
Dale Kocian, Expert instrument restoration
Joel Lemanski, Hard to find Chris Craft Hardware
George Anderson, Gessford Machine ( "Mr. 427" )
Neal Gottesman, Obsolete Parts & Equipment (distributor parts, electrics)
Mark Coulson @ Exhaust Systems of Alabama http://www.mesamarine.com/

I know there are many I'm forgetting right now, and I'll add those when I search the files and upgrade each post into the MASTER INDEX files. When we find good people who are knowledgable about Chris Craft culture and fair with their pricing, we want to pass this info along !!

Regards,

Paul
