It's a hard decision, 1973 Sports Sedan (for sale) Grosse Ille/Trenton, MI area $4000

Well, I'm finally (and unfortunately) biting the bullet. I've got a 1973 Chris Craft Sports Sedan, docked in the Grosse Ille/Trenton, MI area, that I have to part with. Frankly, as a first time boat owner, I think I got in over my head! At any rate, I thought I'd check here first to see if anyone was interested. She's a fixer-upper, but the boat is structurally sound and probably doesn't need a ton of mechanical work.

The reason I have to sell her is because she is currently stranded in a transient slip, and I have to get the port engine running before I can move her (someone didn't winterize it, and the intake manifold cracked. I replaced that, and have been systematically troubleshooting the engine to get it started. I think I have it narrowed down to either a bad starter or a bad starter power connection. It's cranking too slow to catch). The payments for the transient slip are killing me!

She is in need of a deck replacement, some wood down in the bunk, finishing up of the kitchen, and some new interior walls up in the helm. The stringers and fiberglass are very solid, and electrically and mechanically there's not much that needs to be done.

Anyhow, I'd be willing to part with her for $4000, which is about equal to what I paid for it plus what I've put into it. I may also be willing to make a trade for a much smaller boat and a reliable automobile, lol.

Anyhow, if anyone's interested or has any questions or suggestions, please let me know! I'll post some pictures if anyone is interested as well.

Eric
