31' SPORTS EXPRESS..... FOR SALE ( Seattle, Washington)

This is an interesting opportunity to get what I believe would be an especially good Commander from a boating family who has a LONG association with Chris Craft Corporation. The Frauenheim family started JAFCO Marine, in Buffalo, NY and they sold many Commanders and other Chris Craft models throughout the region for many years.

I met Joe and his brother, Tom through the ACBS many years ago, because they're both active in the boat shows and Race Boat Regatta, etc. Tom remains in Buffalo running Frauenheim, Inc., Yacht Sales (thanks to Steve, we just purchased a 1966 Chris Craft Sea Skiff from Tom). Joe is big in hydroplane racing and owns a beautiful Ventnor 225, among other boats. Joe sent me a note the other day saying he was about to sell his personal 31' Commander Sports Express (sometimes referred to as the 31' Sport Fisherman). No price was discussed. It's a 1974 Commander Sports Express located in Seattle Washington with twin 350's. This is a FRESH WATER boat. I want to post the photos here just to assist bringing a good boat together with an appreciative new owner.

Based upon what I know about the Frauenheim family, I would expect this one to be a well maintained and excellent example of a 31 SF. The photos seem to bear this out. Anyone in the Seattle area looking for a great boat should give this one some consideration. Joe can be reached at joe@impacthydros.com if anyone is interested in following up on this one.
