350Q Cam Replacement October 4 2006 at 5:53 PM		Mark Weller (Login mweller)


OK here is the beginning of the undertaking. The parts are on order and should be here tomorrow. The hoist stand has been built and has been disassembled to haul to the boat. The 1 ton chain hoist is waiting to do its thing. Will head to the boat tomorrow night after dinner and get the hoist reassembled and ready to haul the motor. I have a friend who is coming tomorrow night also so we may end up either a. pulling the motor or b. getting everything ready for Friday morning and then drink some beer. I have one question has anyone ever pulled a motor before? How did you release the motor from the mounts? After some inspection the only way I see to do it is to remove the 2 large bolts on each side that look like they go into the stringers.
