| Awlbright 3-part polyurethane (teak toe rail)July 14 2006 at 7:55 AM | Paul (no login) | |
| Bruce Martin is contemplating the use of Awlbright 3-part for his (new) teak toe rail. The trick is to use traditional varnish/solvent 50/50 for the penetrating bond, along with fill coats of varnish, and do the final topping with polyurethane.
I have not used this technique because I've used traditional varnish with good results, but Warren Pateman has used the 3-part, and Bruce is considering it as well. Stay tuned !
Anyone out there with pro or con comments, please advise.
