David Hodges, on the trail of a 38 Commander

Here are new photos just emailed to chriscraftcommander@hotmail.com
and they’re great quality images. I don’t know anything about the mechanicals, but the boat looks reasonably well preserved, but the dismantling job on the interior looks a little disturbing (because the more you tear out, the more you get to put back at great expense!).

In any case, David, good job with the photos, tell us about this boat!

Regards, Paul

Hey Dave, I think you got the spelling wrong on the name!

Just a classic profile, the unmistakable and almost perfect lines of the vintage Chris Craft 38 Commander. Nothing looks quite like it, and nothing looks better!

I can tell by looking at the surrounding residences, this is not a low rent neighborhood! Therefore, the slip rentals (or condominium prices) are sure to be high. That gives me some degree of hope that the boat isn’t a bucket. Hopefully it’s a Commander in good mechanical condition!

What’s the scoop?

Regards, Paul
