CHRIS CRAFT COMMANDER FORUM ® .......A photo-intensive technical reference file and ongoing newsletter regarding the original fiberglass Chris Craft Commander. Our mission at this not-for-profit non-commercial web site is to "have fun and share information" for your individual personal use. Our main reference feature is the ever expanding MASTER INDEX Files which contain exhaustive photo and technical information on the Chris Craft Commander line (like these 38' Commander brochure scans) , (an awesome collection of Chris Craft 427 tuning and specification information), and a few words about how to use the information in the forum, etc. Be sure to look at the information about the 2009 Chris Craft Commander Rendezvous, second year in a row on Lake Erie!! Warren Pateman
The embodiment of the Commander spirit and integrity!

I received a call this morning from a mutual friend, saying that Delma had advised that Warren had finally given up the long and hard-fought fight with cancer. I never met Warren, but I corresponded with him many times, and I know he was a beautiful man, very knowledgable about all kinds of boating (served on two Americas Cup Race committees). His family was with him at the end, Warren passed away peacefully. The Commander community has suffered a great loss, not only in his example of total restoration and quality, but in his professional first-class demeanor. He was always upbeat. What a great guy. Our hearts and prayers are with the family and his many friends.

Here is a tribute to Warren Pateman.
