A phone-in report from Mark Weller !!

I had a very nice phone conversation with Mark and his buddy, Tim Toth, last night. They're on the trail to finding the running problem with Mark's motor.

Apparently when they hooked up a timing light to all the plug wires, only some of the wires would flash the light. Hmmmm, now that changes EVERYTHING. I think they've found the problem, but beware, many times with old boats and cars, there can and will be two things working simultaneously.

Tim Toth is launching his boat today. Hopefully we'll get some photos of this. Once Tim is splashed, then they'll go back and look at Mark's boat in detail. I have a feeling they'll be running by the end of the day. Let's hope so!

During the phone conversation, it was apparant that Mark was at his local yacht club, because there was a lot of background noise. At one time during the call, Mark said, "hey do you remember the dude in the photo"? I said "yes, that's the guy dumping all the suntan lotion on". We laughed, and then Mark said, "he just walked in". At that point I said, "check to see if he has a spray tan, check the palms of his hands too". I heard Mark ask him about it (hair color too), ha ha, it was great. (All in good fun!)

Anyway, here's all the best to two buddies up on Lake Erie today, working on their boats together. It really doesn't get much better than this. It could be a little better once they get that motor running!

Stay tuned, photos on the way!??

Paul
