Response to Hope everyone else was either on the water or at the marina this week-end!

Here's the first of the photos. This is the part of the group we could get together for a photo, standing in front of TRADITION, our 1966 38 Express. There was a LOT of interest in the Chris Craft Commander series of boats today.

This was a lightly promoted event, and it produced very big "fun factor" results. We had 4 boats travel to this location to attend the event, in addition to the numerous boats here in the harbor who participated by giving tours and hosting their own dockside discussions. Everyone got a dose of friendly SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY.

This is a format that can be replicated just about anywhere with a marina and a car club. Here the Porsche guys were very interested in the marine hardward, and the boaters that attended (as well as the members of the yacht club) found the cars very interesting too. We had a great time, and plan to do this again next year, with national billing.

Here we are, docked at the rendezvous location, at Commodore Yacht Club, Nashville, TN. As you can see, the weather was spectacular, redbud trees were in full bloom.

This is the chase boat and photo boat we used on the Cumberland. It was great just playing around. MANY THANKS to Kent Simpkins for providing the boat and Bill Winn, for the EXPERT BOAT HANDLING of this fine craft. We did some full speed fly-bys, and it was fun aboard, but I'll bet seeing it from this boat was pretty awesome too. From up top they had a great vantage point. We'll hopefully be getting some photos soon to share with everyone.

The big dogs barked, and they got to show exactly what they could do. Everyone was impressed!

Edit comment: Here is a short 15 second video of these boats running at speed together http://www.network54.com/Forum/424840/message/1144340041>

Regards, paul
