Well I am off to the boat in Sandusky for what is hopefully the last weekend of prep work prior to launching. Launch is scheduled for Friday April 7th. This weekends list paint the boot strip and side stripe, finish sanding the swim platform and cetol it, paint the bottom, install the pertronix ignition system. Drink a few beers with Tim Toth. I will get some pictures of Tims custom trim tab modification that he is in the process of doing to a 41 Commander, and some pictures of my boat when I get the boot, side stripe and bottom painted. I have completed buffing and waxing the hull, installing the rebuilt carbs, pressure washing the bottom paint and removing the white vinyl tape used to create a gap between the boot strip and the bottom paint.
Here is how it looked last year, you can see there is no shine to the hull at all and the stripes look terrible. Wait for the pictures I take on Sunday.
