SBC cylinder head rebuild February 12 2006 at 8:30 AM		(Login mweller)


I managed to get a spare set of heads for my STBD motor (the port motor has rebuilt heads) from e-bay last week and have started to rebuild them. Here are some photos of one head torn down. Along with some shots of the valves springs etc. As I tear the other head down I will remember to take more pictures of the disassembly process. The SBC 882 head and valves The difference betweeen exhaust and intake valve springs exhaust is shorter. Exhaust and intake valve 1.50 exhaust 1.94 intake The reason for the difference in valve springs on the left is a valve rotator used on exhaust valves to turn them slightly every time they open.
