Ford Transmission Forum: c-5 differences

I've been searching for a 26 spline c-4 to replace my 24 spline c-4 which will be put behind a 351w. Today I found what I believe is a c-5 out of a 1982 Mustang 5.O. Is the c-5 a good trans. to build up? Is it as strong as the 26 spline c-4?
