Kultulz,
I know, the first Holley 4150 was on the 57 Ford, I recall driving one. I show that one as a List 1272, a 390cfm version.
What I meant about the "List 1850" variant was, the "1850" is so common today. If you want a 600cfm Holley, on the wall of many auto parts stores there's a brand new "Holley List 1850" hanging there, the generic $20.00 swap meet Holley. I just didn't know, it was that particular List 1850 number that was first used on the 58 430-4v.
And to think I tuned the idle on ours and didn't even bother to look at the list number!

I see what you mean now. The HOLLEY(S) used on the 58 MEL did not have external float adjustment. One had to remove the bowl(s) to adjust the fuel level. The adjustable fuel bowl came out either in mid-58 or 59 production. I can get you the exact date if needed. I am not sure if this was the introduction of the 1850 or not but am curious now.
The Shop Manual does not give CFM. It gives the venturi size as (430) 1 1/4" Pri and 1 5/16" Sec.
