No. The J-BIRD had the elongated tank as does the later LINC. It is made that way to clear the fuel pump. As for an FE tank interchange, one would have to verify opening thermostat size on either tank and intake manifold.

Be aware that the 58/60 block has an FE bellhousing bolt pattern, the 61/65 430 has a modified pattern and the 462 retains this modified pattern and an additional pattern for a MEL specific CC.

The 63/65 4V 430 had unique piston crown design and reliefs in cyl heads for better burn. A 462 crank will go into a 430. It would require custom pistons (different pin height).
