My 1991 Mazda Miata is dying while I am driving down the road. A friend of mine has acces to a diagnostics computer and has offered to hook up and work on it for me. Should I let a person with limited expierence work on my car? He thinks it might be the idle sensor.... Has any one had this problem and are the miata's some what easy to work on, or is the idle some what complicated?

YA I WOULD DEFINATELY LET HIM AT LEAST TEST IT WITH HIS DIAGNOSTICS DEVICE AND THAT WILL AT LEAST GET YOU CLOSER TO WHAT YOU HAVE TO CHANGE OR FIX TO MAKE IT RUN BETTER. IF YOU WOULD TAKE IT TO A SHOP YOU ARE LOOKIN AT ABOUT 40 AN HOUR AT THE LEAST JUST TO FIND OUT THE PROBLEM.HOPE THAT HELPS A LIL...MAT
