<<< At this juncture, I regret even posting the information. >>>
Allen, there was no malice here. I and others were only providing information, just as you were. I wanted to point out that Tire Rack is a good friend to car enthusiast everywhere. They are a reputable vendor and are genuinely nice guys. I have met them personally as a number of the guys behind Tire Rack are autocrossers and come to the SCCA Nationals, not just as sponsors, but as competitors.
I understand that sometimes you have to go to a local supplier. I remember a few years ago when my neighbor's kids had friends overnight and they decided that the thing to do was slash all of the tires on a number of cars in the neighborhood. Including my van. I couldn't wait for tire rack to ship tires. I had to have the van towed to a local tire store to have tires mounted that day.
I do wonder why somebody would choose to do business with Sears even if they match Tire Rack prices. Sears has a history of corporate directed deceitfull business practices. Especially in their auto service department. I would not reward, and therefore re-enforce, those practices by doing business with them.
There was no intent to give you a hard time about doing business with Sears. And I appreciate you posting the info and hope you contienue to do so.
